Dolls symbolize, as Freud could say, the “uncanny.” they're replicas, simulacra, souvenirs and secrets and techniques. they're gadgets we remember with excessive nostalgia but additionally our bodies we dismember and ruin. they may be made from cornhusks, clay, rags, paper, fabric, wooden, porcelain, celluloid, bisque, plastic, or steel. for hundreds of years, dolls have taught us the way to comprehend our global and are home windows to different worlds.
