Use of the internet in journalism has changed the face of media in many ways. The Internet has become a repository for great amounts of factual information where people can find diverse views and up to date information. It has given rise to new media types such as podcasts, blogs, social networks etc which allow people to report and document their experiences digitally and get real time audience feedback which helps people to modify their content according to the needs of the audience. The Internet has created a new paradigm for citizen journalists allowing them to disseminate information as quickly as possible. The Internet has broken geographical boundaries and created opportunities for the media industry as a whole.
