DoorDarshan Launched by Government Of India in 1959 is one of the oldest Channel in Tv industry Wholey run by government of india. Even after being such a old channel it is active and Also the official channel of government of india. In many of households it is the only streaming channel as it is free for all. People in india still watches doordrashan not only for government news but also for the shows that telecast on it.
I Remember During the time of lockdown doordarshan was the channel that become everyone’s favourite as it was the only channel telecasting The prestigious Show like Ramayan and Mahabharat which is every Indians favourite Show. During the lockdown we also watched The Prime Ministers Show which was MAN Ki BAAT which was also exclusively Broadcasted on DoorDarshan Not to forget we all have watched the parade of 26 th January on Doordarshan, earlier people used to install tv just for the sake of watching Doordarshan Although Today’s Generation Don’t watch doordarshan much these days as there are other channels which they prefer watching but our parents generation was greatly influenced by Doordarshan many a times my father tells me about the shows which came on Doordarshan and how it taught them good and valuable things. Certainly Doordarshan might have lost its charm but it surely have turned out to be revolutionary in the media industry
