The year must be 2016 when internet became vast enough to help with little school projects and accessible enough to replace the television in my house one step at a time.
I had a whole new world open to me. Whether it was helping me with some extra knowledge for topics school didn’t teach about or luring me in with the promise of a little bit of everything all of the time.
Now we’re in 2023 where life without internet is impossible to imagine. How did we even right? Boredom is now the biggest of all crimes because I feel this external pressure to always be engaged and be doing something or knowing something. I can’t possibly imagine that to be good for any of us in the long term but hey, that’s internet in my life.
