Something as simple as writing simply would turn out to be a discussive exercise in the classroom was an unexpectation for me. Yet, on a regular morning we found ourselves analysing various articles, complicating them and then being our own critiques while simplifying them. I learned to write simply we have to be cautious on our word choices keeping our audience in mind. This back image of will be reading what we wrote is a critical factor in what we write. Principles of clear writing are not an absolute though and not always advisable. For instance, writing for an academic paper invites all sorts of difficult words and carefully crafted sentence structures that might not be favourable for mass audience.
