During one of the IOJ classes, we students were given the task of selecting a paragraph of contents of any kind that utilised complicated words and was asked to write up a version that is much simpler in words and easier to comprehend. This assignment was based on the Principles of Clear Writing by Robert Gunning, which provides content writers with the ethics and pointers to create writings that are more efficient in the manner of being understanble to the readers.The task was useful as it helped us to check up on word meanings and foster the ability to paraphrase and simplify writeups.
