A good reporter possesses a variety of essential qualities, as listed in the following points :

Objectivity -The ability to present all sides of an issue without injecting personal opinions or beliefs.
Integrity – Trustworthiness and adherence to the highest ethical standards.
Critical thinking – The ability to analyse information, identify bias, and draw sound conclusions.
Communication skills – The ability to effectively gather information, write compelling stories, and present findings to the public.
Resourcefulness – The ability to find creative ways to overcome obstacles and access information.
Persistence – The ability to work long hours and face challenges in the pursuit of the truth.
Compassion – The ability to understand and empathize with the people they interview and write about.
