They build trust with the eyewitnesses or the people interviewed and are a required to ask insightful questions. They are also needed to meet the deadlines and deliver high quality work on time. They must be objective in their nature and avoid expressing their personal opinions or biases. They must also uphold the journalistic ethics revolving around the principles of truthfulness, accuracy, fairness, and accountability.
