This week began just like any other week. Monday and tuesday went by with regular classes while the pre events for Juxtapose were taking place during the lunch break. Finally the day arrived when all the hardwork and excitement came to life.
Juxtapose was here. It was everything that we had expected. Maybe a bit more than expected because this time, we had many participants from other colleges. Also the events this time were well appreciated by the audience and the participants alike. Day 1 and Day 2 had different competitions and events planned. The participants showed great enthusiasm while competing.
Being a member of the Organising Committee was a bit hectic at times but mostly it was fun. “Logistics valon ko bohot kaam karna padhta hai” is what we use to hear from every other senior. As a member of the Logistics team I understood what they meant. From running from the caretaker’s office carrying speakers and mics, to holding up banners and serving refreshments to the guests, it all seemed worth it. We have lovely seniors who helped us so much throughout the event. They were very supportive and helpful. I’m so grateful for them.
Juxtapose was over with a blink of an eye. Both days were too busy that we didn’t realise the time passing by. And just like that, it was over. All the preparations and the late night meetings, everything was for this day and it went by so quick. The days that we all looked up to had passed and I was hit by a reality check. Now it’s gonna be regular classes. No more logistics work. No more meetings. No more running from one end of the campus to the other. That sense emptiness just hit right on the second day when we all knew we won’t be here like this anymore. Juxtapose was over.
