Media trial refers to the phenomenon where the media, particularly news outlets, engage in extensive coverage, analysis, and commentary on legal cases or controversies before or during their judicial proceedings. While media coverage of important issues can help inform the public and promote accountability, media trials can have several negative implications.
The interview of Nupur Talwar taken by Vartika Nanda was a definition of an unbiased media trial in which Nupur Talwar talks about the world that is inside the prison. Through the interview I understood that not all media trials need to be aggressive and attacking but things can be asked in a polite manner. In a nutshell, the whole interview was a perfect example of how to do a media trial while keeping in mind about the journalistic ethics.
