The localization of news is important because it should increase community participation as well as deliver the right information to the right people.
Newspapers can meet the needs of the population by concentrating on local issues and events and editorials. It builds the relevance among the readers who are more likely to pay attention to the news, which is of concern in their daily lives.
Localized news also adds to the plurality of views in the media space, by bringing forth dare to be heard ideas and concerns which would have gone unreported. Also, it increases the feeling of community by emphasizing local milestones, issues, and events that in most cases as a culture builds community unity.
In times when the world is turning quickly to globalization and the use of internet services and mobile phones, localization helps to maintain the local culture within its true intentions and fosters a better society.
