Fact-checking is a necessary skill for journalists, it involves research and analysis from credible, comprehensive, and established sources of information, and libraries offer access to dependable resources that make this process simpler.
Libraries play a significant role in journalism by offering access to journalists to a vast range of historical documents, past newspapers, books, archives and scholarly journals, etc to help in their investigation and research. With the new age many libraries now also offer digital media, like video documentaries, and online databases, etc. Some such digital libraries are the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), Delhi University E-library and many others.
