Delhi Police is the first police force in the country to have its own podcast. This podcast series, titled ‘KISSA KHAKI KA’, started on 16th January. This series is aimed at establishing communication with the masses through its unheard stories of crimes, investigations, heart and humanity. With this, Delhi Police has made its first foray into the world of Podcasts – a digital audio presentation. In a year when the Nation is celebrating its 75th Independence under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Dr. Vartika Nanda, renowned media educator and prison reformer, has been given the responsibility to be the storyteller for Delhi Police Podcasts. She has initiated a movement on prison reforms in India under the banner, Tinka Tinka and has introduced prison radio in the jails of Haryana. President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, conferred the Stree Shakti Puraskar on her in 2014. Vartika Nanda is also credited for starting India’s FIRST and EXCLUSIVE podcasts on prisons. These are aired on the YOUTUBE Channel of Tinka Prison Reforms.

थान सिंह की पाठशाला, an initiative that might not get the recognition it deserves or might not be a part of a high-profile discussion during Primetime in a news channel; and why would it be? It won’t grab the same numbers of eyeballs that it might at the failure of the system, or at the criticism of anything and everything as far as the eye can see. The first ever podcast #KissaKhakiKa run by a police department brought to us something positive and inspirational with Than Singh and his Pathshaala, an effort that the world should know about as a dedicated police constable doesn’t limit himself to just his noble profession of serving his country but also shoulders a responsibility (where one can argue is not even his responsibility) to educate the youth and has set an example of generosity, humility and true passion to do something for his country. #delhipolice #दिल्ली_पुलिस
