First of August, when I first found out that I will be going to LSR, felt nothing short of magic. As I told people around me who have been with me on this journey, I saw them cry, celebrate and be proud of me. It didn’t matter if I told my friends, a distant relative or my favorite high school teachers because they all had big notions about the college and big dreams for me. They have an undying faith in me and I have known that but finding out how much faith they have in this institution is indeed magical. I didn’t have to go to college to know that there’s something special about this place. In those fifteen days before it begun I have gotten a plethora of congratulatory phone calls telling me about the bright future I have ahead of me because I got into LSR and that too is nothing short of magic.
I’ve only been to the college for three days and every day I took a deep breath before I entered the gates because the magic is in the air here. Whether it’s how beautiful the campus is, how beautiful and kind the people are or how wonderful and friendly the dogs and squirrels are, I knew nobody lied when they talked about the magic of LSR. We continue to walk further away from our carefree childhood days and we are becoming more and more aware of the uncertainty that envelops us. So I’ll take a deep breath every day before I walk through the gates because I’m ready to feel the magic of LSR.
