When we watch news we believe everything they show us and what they broadcast, even if we as literate individuals sometimes know the news in exaggerated pr tampered with, people with lesser knowledge might now be able to distinguish the same, hence credibility in newsroom is of utmost importance and hinges on several key factors like,
rigorous fact checking, transparency and being truthful, adhering to journalistic standards and ethics, having expertise in what you say and do, acknowledging mistakes and addressing them quickly to increase credibility and finally using a big sample size or huge range of perspectives to refine your report.
Building and maintaining credibility requires consistent effort and vigilance in all aspects of journalism.
