The internet has grown to be a highly important and appreciated tool in people’s daily lives in the era of quick technology and instant access to all material.Nowadays, people of all ages rely on the internet for a variety of needs, and it has developed into an unstoppable force that continuously shapes and destroys every part of our lives. Since I was very young, the internet has grown to be one of my closest friends.Individuals from Generation Z, like me, have formed a close and toxic relationship with the internet.It has aided me in my academic pursuits at all levels, including research, documentation, and presentation.
It benefits my ability to learn new things and interact with people from around the world in order to take in a variety of viewpoints and experiences.
I rely on the internet as a very useful medium as a journalism student.The internet is a platform that journalists and students studying it routinely and constantly rely on for content research, application, and reporting. This is the foundation of online journalism.Since nearly everyone has become a netizen, all information vital to the journalism industry is centered around online activities.
However, just like everything else, using the internet can have drawbacks for users.The internet can have a negative impact on people’s physical and mental health in a variety of ways, including shortening attention spans, impairing vision, wasting time unnecessarily, ingesting bad and unnecessary content, spreading false information, and engaging in cyberbullying.It’s critical to use and consume internet content in a responsible and beneficial way.
