“एक कि ता ब में एक पूरी दुनि या समा ई हो ती है।” (A whole world is contained within a book.)
Rabindranath Tagore was right when he said it. A library, which is often referred
to as “कि ता बों का घर,” has something to offer for everyone, whether a person
enjoys fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, or non-fiction. It opens pathways to an
abundance of knowledge and entertainment. Libraries and books, therefore,
play an important role in people’s lives, particularly for journalists.
Reading books opens their minds and helps them expand their vocabulary.
Most importantly, it helps the journalists in researching and investigating
articles to ensure they are well-informed and credible. Libraries provide access
to a wealth of reliable sources, archives, and references that allow journalists to
fact-check information, find historical context, and gather data.
This not only helps improve the quality of their reporting but also helps in
maintaining journalistic integrity by delivering accurate and balanced stories to
the public. In a fast-paced digital era, where the internet provides information in
mere seconds, libraries remain a cornerstone for thorough and responsible
journalism.
