NIDHI RAJPUT
On September 27, 2024, we were assigned a group activity to analyze different newspapers in both Hindi and English. Our task was to count the number of pages and the number of public and private advertisements in each newspaper. We formed a group of six and collected a total of seven newspapers, labeled A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.
On September 30, we began the analysis. We found that all the newspapers had either 24 pages or 12 pages. Newspaper F had the highest number of advertisements, featuring 43 ads in just 24 pages, while Newspaper C had the lowest, with only 6 ads in a 12-page format. Notably, Newspaper A had an equal number of private advertisements and its own advertisements.
Throughout our analysis, we observed that private advertisements were much more prevalent across all newspapers, with only 2-3 public ads per publication. Ultimately, we concluded that while newspapers might have a limited number of advertisements, they rely on them for financial sustainability.
