Media trial is basically the impact of media coverage of a particular case on perceptions of the viewers about who is guilty or innocent. It the creating of a certain image of a person’s role in a particular case by Media. Discussing specifically about the Aarushi Talwar Case ( Vartika Nanda Interview with Nupur Talwar) The interview was more oriented towards seeking objective information regarding Dr. Nupur Talwar’s life in Jail, Her journey towards finding comfort and acceptance in this new life and her future plans, rather than what was her role in the case. Even while asking questions, it was clear that the motive was not to prove her guilty or innocent, but simply to get an idea about her thoughts and experience within jail up until now. This can be considered a good example of not being bias and not attempting to conclude the case with proving someone innocent pr guilty since that was never the job of media in the first place.
