Newspaper activity
The “Newspaper Making” activity provided a hands-on experience that went beyond the basics of journalism. It wasn’t just about cutting, pasting, or arranging articles; it was about understanding the real-world challenges journalists face. I learned how to prioritize stories, balance hard and soft news, and ensure each piece found its rightful place in the layout. Working under tight deadlines pushed me to be efficient and adapt quickly, while the collaborative aspect taught me to appreciate different perspectives within a team. The biggest takeaway, however, was recognizing that every news story—big or small—carries its own significance, adding value to the broader narrative. For me, this experience solidified the notion that journalism is not just about writing; it’s about crafting stories that resonate with the audience while working together to bring them to life.
