As I write on this topic in my mind I can still hear the sound of the cricket commentary that my family and I used to hear from the radio. I am sure with the fact that a lot of people of my generation might not listen to radio anymore or we might sometimes hear songs on it while travelling by car, but I wouldn’t say that it does not have any relevance in my life.I do have a core memory of my grandparents and parents hearing the sports commentary and news headlines through that small square shaped box type device that literally gave each and every detail of the events happening miles away from where we were listening it from. That memory is special for me now, since gradually that stopped happening. I do feel sad since I feel that time was rather much peaceful than anything else, back then we were never sitting scrolling through our mobiles, going through a range of emotions in a second as we scroll ,instead we would be playing and listening to the radio at the same time. The radio is considered a traditional form of media but I feel that the advantages of radio still outweigh a lot of the drawbacks of the modern media.
