It might come off as quite dismaying to say that the concept of radio has gradually degraded in many forms. With the innovation of new modes of media, radio although still persisting, has lost it’s old charm. To say that radio plays an exciting or a huge role in my everyday life would be such a lie because radio has always to me a way to listen to music while travelling if phone isn’t charged or i don’t have my earphones with me.My initial introduction to radio was through my mother’s father who used to listen to the afternoon news via his old radio after lunch. To me it always seemed a bit of ineffective machine that although providing information and music, managed to release the most ear breaking screeching noises and inaudible voices due to poor radiation that babble about political debates, local crime and celebrity gossip. And surely that was just my grandfather’s decaying radio. But nonetheless radio has managed to survive long decades and is still a huge part of many people’s life by providing them a quality and occupying time when they’re stuck in traffic or wanna listen to music on their travelling expeditions.Radio stations are on the rush to provide customers with best of news, trendy as well as old songs and guests that intrigue and excite the mass which ensures that people will still rely on their work.Radio in my opinion will never go out of style because no matter how popular other forms of media get and how much social media tops our list of preferences, radios for many are a symbol or rather a cultural article that remind them of the beginning times of new and bold ways to spread information and uphold years of childhood as well memories of a lifetime, sitting in a roadside tea shop with good friends having good conversations over good food and listening to the radio thats installed near the window sill of the old rack and old men talk about politics and express concerns over upcoming changes. It is an article that reminds people of innovative aspirations in man and how far we have come from our little desires to communicate and create consciousness.Radio in my life is quite minimal but occasionally I too like to listen to old music that my father shakes his head to and guests who have some entertaining experiences to share, over which people get thrilled.
