From its humble beginnings in the early 20th century to its continued relevance in the digital age, radio has evolved and adapted, always finding a place in our daily routines. Apart from the news section channels like Red FM and Radio Mirchi host games and contests thus engaging the public with fun activities. However, in the contemporary world, radio in the urban areas is losing relevance but is still very prominent in the rural, being the one stark medium of announcements, news and updates. With the invention of television, the use of the radio has stagnated as television fills in the gap of visual images and graphics but the perk of multitasking as to working and listening to the radio simultaneously as it doesn’t require to be stationary or fixed at a place still cannot be replaced, whether it be for women working in household or people driving around in cars. The void of the radio cannot be replaced.
