Radio has been around for years now, developed in 1895, immediately found a place in everyone’s heart. When radio first came, yearly subscriptions were needed, and irrespective of the impecuniosity, people gleefully paid for them. The general population of a village could sit and listen to the radio together, which helped in disseminating the news to a larger mass easily and instantly. Even today, radio helps dissipate the cloud of illiteracy that looms over the country. Radio is also a source of entertainment. It allows people to listen to new music and discover new artists. At present, thanks to the internet, the music of your choice is at your disposal. But nothing beats the adrenaline rush you get when you stumble upon your favourite song on the radio or when they play the top 10 hits of your favourite artists on their birthdays. For this exact reason, to this day, during family road trips, we prefer listening to the radio because, aside from the catchy songs, you get to listen to interviews with the artists, light-hearted conversations, and engrossing stories. Personally, radio on road is like a cherry on top.
