In the 20th century, television became a powerful source of information, entertainment, and education. The amount of television we watch determines how much it affects our attitudes, beliefs, and mental processes. One needs to get outside to study and experience life since the outdoors is a wonderful teacher. But alas, a threat to the child’s general development has emerged as a result of his unintentional seclusion. Yes, the world of TV offers a variety of experiences and knowledge that would not otherwise be available to us.There’s a catch though- The Idiot Box is a phenomenon where children are exposed to harmful content, leading to increased violence, coarse language, and emotional issues. This can result in poor conduct, antisocial behavior, and aggressive attitudes. The box also shortens viewing time, hinders reading abilities, and negatively impacts academic skills. It also deprives children of activities like outdoor play, family dinner, and reading, and deprives them of time for sports, music, and art.Last but not least, there is no room for dialogue in The Idiot Box; there is only a monologue. And in order to learn, to dispel our doubts, to advance in life, and to make the best choice, we humans must reciprocate. TV is an idiot box since it is the only device that solely allows one-way communication.
