TV has been a part of my life since childhood. I still remember the days when, I was in primary and used to adore TV shows such as Dora the explorer,Tom and Jerry, Courage the cowardly dog, shinchan , Doraemon and many more. I used to be an early bird back then , get ready for school and spent few minutes of my valuable time in television before departing for my school bus.I was on the same page as many children of my age would. Wherease ,TV programs used to vary from person to person in my family ,my mother is a big fan of TV serials which were hot topic back then, my father had his interest in local news channels such as DY365 ,prag news(Assamese news channels), northeast live , and national news channels as well .Time flew away, and I entered into my teenage era , where I came across a different source of entertainment. The world took another step to the evolution. Mobile phones reported and gradually everything concluded in a small device. But even after the arrival of the upgrade version it took me years to actually be with the trend. TV worked as a constant source of knowledge, entertainment, information till few years ago. I was very much into reality shows, cartoons and sometimes I had to consume news as well with the elders of my family. Since ,I am the only child I lacked companion which resulted in development of my keen interest in television. TV served as the only source of exposure to the outside world during my old days. And also I belong to a place where we generally lack infrastructure, better internet connection, etc. Therefore TV will always remain nostalgic for me throughout my life. Although in today’s modern world mobile is the new game changer for everyone of us , TV will always remain as a phase from where we had our first exposure.
