The week began with a viksit bharat quiz that gave us the opportunity to learn alot about government’s initiatives to build a prosperous country in harmony with nature, with modern infrastructure, and providing opportunities for all citizens and all regions to reach their potential.
Wednesday made way to news agencies. We learned about Press Trust of India, United News of India, Reuters and Associated Press. Features, types, purpose of news agency are just some of the topics we covered.
On Thursday we got to learn the fine line differences between lectures and speeches. Both are one way communication but lectures can be held at the same place and time over and over again. They can be delivered by the same person and about any topic that adds value to the knowledge of the audience. Speeches on contrast have to be of some contemporary relevance.
Approaching friday, learning became action packed. We had fruitful discussions about structure of news story, neutrality and biasness and gatekeeping.
