We explored beats and their significance this week. We learned about the numerous facets of the health and crime beats, as well as the things a journalist should be aware of, including the government’s numerous agencies and regulations. The concepts of deepfakes, fake news, and information manipulation were presented to us. Additionally, lessons were given on the format of television news, the structure of news bulletins, and how DD’s news bulletin compares to that of other private channels. Our understanding was enhanced by the features of electronic news gathering and field production, technological developments in camera and production, OB vans, and safety concerns during live reporting.
