Throughout this week, our class delved into a diverse array of topics, ranging from interviews to renowned press agencies. We started the week with an insightful discussion regarding journalistic interviews and their significance in modern media. A highlight of the week was the Viksit Bharat quiz orchestrated by the DOJ, offering a captivating platform to acquaint ourselves with government initiatives fostering national development and sustainability. This interactive session not only proved informative but also infused an element of fun into our learning experience.The next few lectures were concerned with the significance of news agencies in the realm of press management and information dissemination. We critically discussed the role played by renowned agencies such as PTI, UNI, Reuters, and Associated Press, in shaping the contemporary media landscape. Next, we moved on to lectures and speeches. The week ended with an interesting discussion on neutrality and bias in news reporting and press dialogues. We critically examined the role of gatekeeping in shaping and conveying news to the masses, underscoring the profound impact of editorial decisions on public perception. Thus, this week was marked by engaging discussions and thought-provoking analyses of various topics that are very pertinent to our REP paper.
