Beat reporting is a genre of journalism which is done in a particular field. For eg : crime beat , health beat , education beat etc. Education beat is a wide umbrella covering everything. Education beat consists of reporting in all fields of education starting from primary, secondary, tertiary education. It helps in examining the policies proposed by governments , to support and criticize it for better development in that field. For eg: mid day meal programme which was decided in order to increase the enrolment ratio of schools keeping an eye on the fact of increasing dropouts. Education plays a vital role directly or indirectly shapes the nation and leads it to a better path of development.
